In many industries around the world, production takes place in highly explosive atmospheres. For example, this is the case in the chemical industry, in refineries or in ship and aircraft construction. The signaling devices used in these areas must meet strict standards and must be able to withstand vibrations or extreme temperatures in order to warn of emergencies in case of danger.
They have the highest mechanical strength and are maintenance and wear-free. It is precisely for such devices that there is a European standard that certifies this increased resistance: the ATEX safety standard. ATEX is derived from the French abbreviation of "EXplosive ATmospheres".
Explosion proof visual and audible devices
The explosion proof signaling devices from Auer Signal offer safety for all applications where the atmosphere can become explosive. As with conventional signaling under normal conditions, ATEX devices can be divided into two main categories: visual and audible signals.
Our ATEX visual warning devices are resistant to the danger of explosions of flammable gases, vapours or dust. Depending on the model, they have a protection class of IP66 or IP67. They are designed for zones 1,2,21,22 depending on the model. Visual ATEX devices are available as LED or Xenon lights as continuous, flashing, flashing or rotating light. The nominal voltage of our devices ranges from 24V DC, 48V DC, 110-240V AC or 230V AC.
ATEX horns are also designed to withstand gas and dust explosions. With a protection class of IP54 to IP66, they operate at temperatures from -20°C to +75°C. The ATEX zones covered vary between 1,2,21 and 22 depending on the product.
Horns from Auer Signal for hazardous areas can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Their sound pressure can reach up to 115 dB.
