Audible signalling devices for the explosive area
In the oil and gas industry and during the processing, transport or storage of flammable gases, liquids or dust, large quantities of explosive substances are released. In those cases where signaling via light is not necessary or appropriate for the situation, many companies resort to horns and sounders for explosive areas. These devices must be adapted to the extreme conditions in order to warn by sound signal in the potentially explosive area.
Types of explosion proof equipment: horns and sounders
Auer Signal offers the following two types of explosion proof equipment:
Depending on the model, the volume of the horns and sounders is between 105 dB and 115 dB. Our products are available in different nominal voltages. For each model, you can choose the right voltage for your application from the available voltages. The following nominal voltages are available depending on the model: 24V DC, 115V AC, 230V AC, 240V AC or up to 265V AC.
Resistance at extreme temperatures
Depending on the model, the horns and sounders are intended for zones 1, 2, 21 or 22. The operation of our devices is guaranteed at a temperature of -55°C to +75°C depending on the type. The explosion proof equipment from Auer Signal meets the protection class IP66 or IP54. More information about the IP protection class can be found in our technical information.
