Safe signaling: the typical sound from signal horns
In areas where highly explosive substances can be released, such as in the chemical, petrochemical and aeronautical industries, every second counts when it comes to warning of danger. The unmistakable sound of a signal horn is particularly suitable for hazardous areas to prevent personal injury and damage to property in hazardous situations.
A loud signal up to 108 dB
Explosion proof horns from Auer Signal achieve a sound pressure of 105 to 108 dB. The typical horn tone of the mHTG and mHTP models is produced by a plunger that strikes the diaphragm between 100 and 120 times per second.
Mounting types and voltages of explosion proof horns
The explosion proof horns can be mounted vertically, horizontally or, depending on the model, with a metal bracket. The signaling devices are available in the nominal voltages 24V DC, 115V AC, 230V AC and 240V AC.
Explosion proof horns for extreme conditions
Models that are required for indoor use are adequately protected with IP54. For outdoor use, protection class IP66 is recommended. Explosion proof horns from Auer Signal fulfill these protection classes.
Depending on the type, explosion protection is provided for ATEX zone 1, 2, 21 or 22. The operating temperature of our devices is, depending on the model, between -55°C and +75°C.
